Celeste is a mixed-race (Chinese/Caucasian) WGC Award, YMA Award, and CSA-nominated kids TV writer focused on creating content full of heart and humour. She’s written for numerous Canadian and international broadcasters and production companies including Sesame Workshop, Sinking Ship, Blue Ant Media, TVO Kids, the CBC, ABC Australia, and the BBC. Celeste has been shortlisted for the Nickelodeon Content Accelerator, Netflix Canada Pitch Day, and the Sundance Episodic lab. She was also a 2022 Netflix – Banff Diversity of Voices Initiative delegate. Celeste currently has projects optioned and in production and development with different production companies and is constantly thinking up more!
As an active member of BIPOC TV and FILM and the Toronto International Reel Asian Film Festival, Celeste is constantly growing her community. She seeks to uplift and showcase diverse voices both on and behind the screen, as well as acts as a mentor to new emerging writers.
When not writing, Celeste can be found off road unicycling through the woods, skating across frozen ponds, or cuddled up with her fluffy rabbit Twig reading a book.
